Experience the thrill of flinging projectiles like those medieval machines while focusing on height, velocity, and distance - rather than knocking down the enemy?s fortress. Students can alter characteristics of the trebuchet - projectile (clay) mass, string length, or the counterweight - to test different variables. Students also see these concepts in action: levers, inertia, counterweights, and friction.
This class pack is great for small groups of students and includes punch-out basswood body parts, sling materials, and other hardware. Clay and mass plates are not included.
Assembly requires a hobby knife, needle-nose pliers, ruler, scissors, sandpaper, and white glue (not included).
